DNR hosting online Life Cycle Analysis Results stakeholder event
DES MOINES – The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is hosting a Life Cycle Analysis results stakeholder event. The meeting will take place online on Thursday, September 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The purpose of this event is to present the results of an Iowa-specific life cycle analysis conducted to better understand the environmental impacts of four waste material categories, selected by stakeholders as part of the Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) initiative.
This collaborative effort was led by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a Solid Waste Infrastructure (SWIFR) grant.
Stakeholder event attendees will have an opportunity to discuss the analysis with DNR staff, consultants and other stakeholders and provide input on next step recommendations.
